Joan Conley Jordan, 79, of Farmington, Minnesota, formerly of Hinsdale, Illinois, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Joan was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 29, 1940 to John C and Alice (Horan) Conley. She went to St. Angela School, and then was a 1958 graduate of Siena High School. In 1963 Joan met the love of her life, James R (Jim) Jordan at the Ridgeland Ice Rink in Oak Park. They were married in 1964 and began their married life together with a 3-month honeymoon, traveling all throughout Europe. They later settled on Taft Road in Hinsdale in 1970. In 1995 they relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she and Jim embraced the warmer weather, relaxed by the pool and continued to seize every opportunity to travel.
Joan was a loving, kind and tender hearted wife, mother and friend。 She was a gifted hostess who loved to cook knowing it would bring family & friends together。 She had an eye for color, in both decorating and fashion。 She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, sewing and photography。 She volunteered as a Brownies & Girl Scout leader and even launched a gift basket company! She loved to laugh, and her beautiful, bright smile would make others smile。
河北快3Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister: Judith, and brother: James.
She is survived by her daughter: Jennifer (Charles) Seivert, her grandchildren: Kayla and James, her sister: Janet (Donald) Mackay, her dear cousin: Mary Jane (William) Downes and many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends。
Funeral service 11AM Monday, August 3, 2020, the Church of St Joseph, 13900 Biscayne Ave. W., Rosemount, MN 55068. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment, at a later date, Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
