河北快3William Robert Nelson, 78, Apple Valley, MN., passed away on May 13, 2020 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Mission, TX.
Nelson was born December 04, 1941 in Marshall Town, IA. He was adopted by Robert and Mabel Nelson of Minnesota. They preceded him in death.
Nelson joined the US Navy in 1962. After an honorable discharge he transferred to the Naval Reserve. Nelson married Betty Lou Halman in 1983, they were together until her passing in 2015. Betty had three children brought into the marriage, Kathryn, Jeffrey, and Richard Kamrud. Nelson had no children of his own, they became his. Nelson owned his own carpet business of selling and installing carpet for many years.
Nelson and his wife were members of the Rovin Rouges camping group, wintered in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, enjoyed cruises, and going to casinos。
Nelson enjoyed bowling and golfing with his best friend of 39 years, Joe Rempert. Bill was also a member of the American Legion in Hutchinson, MN.
Nelson met Nancy Spann of Mission, TX in 2015. She was his love and constant companion until his passing. They enjoyed riding with the group Winter Border Riders, good times in Progreso, MX, and going to casinos and hanging out at the Junkyard Bar in Grajeno, TX.
Nelson leaves behind children, Kathryn Kamrud of St。 Paul, MN, Jeffrey Kamrud of Menahga, MN, daughter-in-law Julie and husband Bob of Eagan, MN; grandchildren, Joshua, Thomas, and Richard Kamrud all of MN; greatgrandchildren, Rhettlan and Kyser Kamrud of MN; companion, Nancy Spann of Mission, TX; best friend, Joe Rempert and wife Pam of Jacksonville, FL。 Bill also leaves behind his Winter Border Rider friends of the Rio Grande Valley of TX; friends at Heritage Square Retirement Park of Mission, TX; and so many other friends in MN and TX。
Preceded in death by parents; wife, Betty; and a son, Richard Kamrud。
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 11 AM at the White Funeral Home-14560 Pennock Avenue, Apple Valley, MN。 Visitation will be one hour prior to service。
Interment, Lebanon Cemetery Monday, July 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM。
